What capabilities does Libro have?

  • Full implementation of all system features, such as: lending, entering resource information, creating resource lists, and more.
  • Supporting all types of documents such as: maps, reports, documents, and more, with the ability to add new relevant fields linked to the same resource.
  • Supporting (Marc) and (uniMarc) formats for database creation and information exchange.
  • Hosting and presenting a library template with a customized website design, allowing for centralized library and gallery integration, regardless of location, without the need for additional systems or computers.
  • Hosting and presenting a multi-library template.
  • Providing a library portal/website in English, Kurdish, and Arabic, for membership distribution and user notifications.
  • Enabling resource search via the library's website and book borrowing.
  • Supporting barcode and RFID smart systems.
  • Managing all database types and electronic journals.
  • Searching documents in a tree structure by book title, author, and subject, based on the alphabetical order of the initial characters.

  • Direct connection to reputable libraries and exchanging their resource information without needing the ISO stages, saving and importing the information into the program (including reliable libraries such as Ohio, Congress, Sydney, Locator Plus…).
  • Designing data entry forms according to your preferences.
  • Issuing notifications about prepared requests through voice alerts.
  • Sending brief messages and emails regarding delayed returns of resources to the library within the specified time, including notifying about resource returns and deadlines.
  • Automatically transferring a resource from a user who borrowed it and exceeded the return period to a new user who requested it first.
  • Displaying status (borrowed, reserved, lost, etc.) to users during searches.
  • Showing usage levels and delays in resource returns to users during searches.
  • Preparing and printing a resource return receipt, which includes notifying the user when returning the resources.
  • Restricting resource borrowing and extending borrowing periods for users who have exceeded the allowed delay threshold.
  • Managing the search page and fields to specify which criteria appear before others.
  • Transferring information and inputting basic bibliographic information in various centers based on two basic formats (MODS) and (Dublin Core).
  • Supporting the standards of (ISO2709) and (XML).
  • Saving many resources based on the basic (DC) standard.

All the points we mentioned were examples for a library. However, the Libro system is suitable for all centers such as museums, cultural centers, document preservation, historical artifacts, and more.
